I wish we would know the answer; The transmigration of souls is a brilliant idea or rather a philosophy known to mankind especially in eastern religions.
but when a soul takes rebirth in a new body, it forgets what happened to its previous body.. Remember that things that we think are happening to us, are happening to the BODY , not the SOUL.
As a result, when the soul migrates to the new body, it forgets the experiences it had experienced in the previous body..
this is because, the memory of those experiences is stored in the brain of the body and after death the brain along with the rest of the body gets destroyed. naturally, the soul cannot recollect the data that it has lost along with the old body.
It starts building on a new data and thus a new life when it enters a new body ...
i hope this makes sense ..
Thank you..

the most dramatic waking vision i ever experienced so far, during a past life regression session: i was working in an "office setting"--it seemed at some "science based" activity. there was a huge explosion. the next scene involved walking with many people in a desert. i was a bearded male dressed in white, and it felt as though we had been walking for some time. the vision ended before the "destination" was reached. my feeling was that the trek was from a destroyed "atlantis" to an (ancient) egyptian location. based solely on "intuition" with no attendant vision--numerous lifetimes in the orient, especially china. and most recently, based on a very "weak" feeling, a german soldier, killed very early in ww2

Unfortunately I was also murdered in 1880 Victorian London. It was a bad year for a few of us, I see.

I don't know who I was but my husband lived circa 1880, Victorian London and he was a guildsman specializing in antiques who was murdered by highwaymen. So good for me that he died prematurely so he could be reincarnated during my life. lol!!
