That emphasis on homeland security is one of the 14 points of fascism (as explained to me by some neolibs), does that mean that when the Democrats take control of congress in January, that homeland security will be pushed to the side? If so, will that mean that terrorists will stop trying to attack our country?

Also, since patriotism is another point of fascism, are those who feel it's patriotic to disagree with the President fascists?

The reason I ask is that many neolibs have said that Bush is like Hitler, and I'm wondering if the Democrats controlling congress will be like Hitler as well.

Russ...

I asked a question a few days ago about how Bush is like Hitler.

Two people told me to google "14 points of Fascism". I did, and read what it had to say.

Maybe you should look it up.

William James...I was making a point about those who equate President Bush to Hitler...I wonder, do you say the same thing to those people?

it doesn't mean that "homeland security" will be pushed to the side... but I think it won't be sensationalized constantly... and it won't be used to spy on Americans without a warrant anymore... I think that you can have a secure homeland without the spying...

and the "patriotism" that they are talking about is really nationalism... or believing whatever your leaders do is correct... that doesn't really cover those that say "it's patriotic to question your leaders"... that's quite an American idea that, to my knowledge, has never been applied in any fascist nation...

let's see how many libs use nationalism and warrant less wiretaps... I'm curious to see...

and neoliberal is a word... which doesn't seem to fit those you call neolibs... but I'm not a grammer nazi and it's not a big deal...

but, if anyone is curious...

thatcher and reagan were often considered neoliberals...oddly enough

Well since Hitler was a dictator & a declared facists (one person) and the Democrats are about 150 people & part of a Republic (representitive Govt) I not sure how you can compare the two? And there's no such thing as a Neo-Lib. I think you are confusing it with NEO CON or Neo Nazis.

And I can only presume that you are saying what a wonderful job this administration is doing keeping America safe by being in Iraq instead of actually doing something in our own country with our own borders to make America a safer place to live. Like sending our border patrol agents to prison for doing their jobs stopping illegal alien drug smugglers. Lies and deception lost you guys the last election, when will you learn? America first.

You guys are all idiots. You all probably blame your problems on other people, too. Also, if you feel so bad for other people, how about you doing something for them.
