Yes there are hairless variety's of cats and dogs and yes they love to be petted. So the answer is yes we will still pet them.

Ew. NO. Gross.
That's why no animals pet humans. We aren't attractive or soft enough. Of course, if we were used to cats and dogs being like that, we might. I still think not, however.

Sphynx cats & Chinese Crested dogs don't have fur, and their owners pet them - so: yes.

People have sphinx cats, which don't have fur, and they pet them. I don't like it, but i know people who do.

I'd pass on petting a furless one lol. Furry and loveable is what a pet needs to be for me.

Some cats don't have fur, it's been bred off them. And, they look GROSS. But some people think that bald is beautiful.

Probably wouldn't have them as pets, like Naked Mole Rats. If we did, we wouldn't pet them. We'd pinch their cheeks.
