Most places you are going to people are going to tell you that the mac computer is better for drafting and any kind of graphics and if your choices are Mac or Dell then ill have to agree. Hp also makes very good computers that you might want to look into.

A Dell serves PC applications while a MAC serves Macintosh applications. Truthfully people should not compare MAC's with PC's they each serve separate purposes. In regards to drafting unless you're going to be using AutoCADD it does not matter whether you get a PC or MAC. If you decide to get a PC it does not have to be a Dell.

if you are a long time windows user and want to try using a mac then go for the mac. remember that while the mac can run both windows and mac osx, the dell can only run windows. it's always better to know more than just one operating system, besides you could put on your resume that you know osx.

DELL!!! My Dell is real nice, great sound, picture and movie quality. and it hasn't ever crashed ...like my firends toshiba or hp that crashes every other day, no lie. But Mac's have some sweet stuff on it for artsy stuff, but i hate using Apple so i like my dell way more.
