I had this same problem until I installed Spybot - Search & Destroy. You can get it for free at http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html
(Of course the creators appreciate donations.)
I found out about Spybot on bleepingcomputer.com
Anyway, Run Spybot. Change to advanced mode. Then click on Tools and Browser Pages. You will probably see red.clinet.apps.yahoo.com/cost in the list. Delete all instances of it. Then open a browser window. Navigate to bellsouth.net and choose it as your home page (for the last time). TaDaa!

GO to Internet Explorer > Tools >Internet options > then type in the home page that you want to use. I would also Clear Temp files as well then close the IE and reopen and see if that helps. Also you might want to do a virus scan .

If your homepage isn't staying where its supposed to be and redirecting you, you might have some malware, a virus, or somthin else nasty on your computer. Run an anti-virus utility and a spyware/adware remover. Grissoft offers a great & FREE anti-virus utility and Lava Soft is awesome. Good Luck!
