Not personally.On Nov 2, 1992, the Trump Plaza Hotel was forced to file a prepackaged Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection plan after being unable to make its debt payments. Under the plan, Trump agreed to give up a 49 percent stake in the luxury hotel to Citibank and five other lenders. In return Trump would receive more favorable terms on the remaining $550+ million owed to the lenders and retain his position as chief executive, though he would not be paid and would not have a role in day-to-day operations.

He has certainly been part of corporations that have gone bankrupt. Since he's all about business, I'd say that is same thing for him as personal bankruptcy. It is not a terrible thing (can happen to anyone), but does mean that some of his "success" is really just built on leverage and favors, and sometimes that will crumble.

As a matter of fact, he did lie... sort of. Trump did NOT go bankrupt in the personal sense, but a few companies he ran did in fact go bankrupt. So, as obnoxious as Rosie is, she was half right.
I know this because his company was publicly traded, and I am a financial planner.

I remember he went bankrupt a few years ago. I don't know what all happened but I remember it being in the news.

I believe he was in dire financial trouble at some point when the real estate market went bust (in the 80's?). There was talk that he was going to have to sell all his properties only to find that they were heavily financed already. I believe his wife, Ivanna, was able to financially get him out of the problem....fat lot of good that did for her, lol.

I know I remember hearing about that on the news a while ago.........I think he is lying about never being bankrupt. He is a stupid, rich bastard and he gets on my dawm nerves.
