first thing who started the band and all that. I'm in two bands lead vocals of both and lyrics for both. In my bands whenever their is big desciion to be made we have *emergency practices*. I would quit and find a band where they aren't gonna do that to you. I quit a band because they were so ****** up. I was playing main guitar and lead vocals. They kept making desciions without me and we usually had to bail the drummer out of jail twice a week.

Hey man if you can't cut it you can't cut it. They are looking for something different than what you have to offer. No biggy. Stay if you'd like, and if you still wanna sing then start a band on the side. If you really feel the band has potential then stay, but if they are just a bunch of people that get together and jam with no real talent then get out. Its nothing personal by them replacing you, they just want whats best for the band as a whole. They probably didn't talk to you about it because its a tough subject to let your lead singer know he's being replaced. Dont think too much about it. Good Luck!

your so called friend seems to have forgotten about you being a part of the band. they never considered your feelings when they replaced you, so i would at the very least talk to your friend and ask them why they didn't talk to you first. then as to the leaving part, it would depend upon how you feel with their answers to your questions. if you do feel the need to leave, just remember that it's better to leave under good terms than bad. maybe they didn't know how to talk to you about replacing you, but try to talk with them and make your decision after getting all the info. good luck, mark

Has the other one a better voice than you?
When not, leave the band.

if your friend did this without talking to you, it doesn't sound like there is much of a band....these decisions should be made together.....no harmony no music.
