It depends on a lot of factors. The most important being, how much do you love the LOVED1? And then, are you willing to forgive?

If you can't whole heartedly answer either of these questions without having to debate yourself, then you should probably move on.

Life is waaaay tooooo short to be unsure about love.

I guess the question is, why did he/she leave? And by "stray", do you mean cheat, as in commit adultery?

There is no simple answer to that question. It all depends on the situation, and the people. If you think the relationship is worth saving, then yes, you make an attempt to save it. If not, you get on with your life.

It would greatly depend on whether or not it was a spouse and not just a boyfriend.

If it were a boyfriend, I would've let him go. My husband and I have children and years together, so we'd have to go to pastoral counseling, pray together, etc and try to make it work.

I would be willing to wait as long as God had me to or move on if God called me to do that.

you do not go and search you wati and see if they come back because if they do come back then you know it was their choice to do and not something influenced like the saying goes if you love something set if free if it comes back to you then it was true love or something like that

Neither. I'd find a partner that has enough respect for me and our relationship to be faithful.

If you loved the bird in the cage, set it free.
If it returns, it is yours to keep.
If it never, it never was yours in the first place.
Good Luck.
