Because Christmas is a nationally recognized holiday by the government...those other ones you mentioned are not and are in the minority in America.

Because people here are predominately Christian. So, they greet people with "Merry Chrsitmas" I see no harm in that. I myself greet people with "merry Christmas" and I take whatever greeting comes my way whether it be "happy haunika, happy holidays, seasons greeting or have a good quanza"

You are so thoughtful and kind to relate to other cultures! The world needs more people just like you! I will celebrate with the world just to be able to share that culture. Think about a run for president one of these days! You have my vote!!

Trust me, the people who do not celebrate Christmas do not feel left out. Did you know that Haunakah lasts eight days?

I've heard plenty of "happy holidays" but when you live where the majority religion is christian you can expect alot of "Merry Christmas".

Becuase Christmas is the only holiday that is important because if you were Christian truely you would know that jewish people that hate Jesus and don't believe he is thier savior won't go to heaven and are wasting their time worshipping just God...so hannaka is not important at all..
