Gosh I hope not! That would be a nightmare because I'm a fan of books, and I believe I would get a headache everytime I picked up a book with that kind of writing! It is just... blegh... Not my thing.
English is my second language and I grew up with it. It's a close friend of mine, and I really don't like to see it evolving the way it is. I can understand if people don't want to speak proper English much (I sometimes end my sentences with a preposition) but some just cross the line with all of their freaking phonetic spellings, abbreviations, etc.
Whenever I come across an answer with that kind of stuff, it takes an effort just to read it... yes, I feel bad for not giving the person a chance, but damn it, it irks the crap out of me.

sure when we turn into computers or robots, such a silly question. the new way of writing things phonetically is said to make it easier to read and write and it is gaining acceptance as a proper english language. The old definition of a proper restrictive filled with rules and exceptions is going away as the more modern way becomes more acceptable. It's called growing, the language is growing. people speak different english than they write, so that way of doing it is simply making it match how we talk.

Hopefully not.

I agree, I don't understand what's so hard about making complete sentences and checking your grammar before posting here

I don't think so. Yes, it is rude, and it is text messagings fault. Yes, there is proper english, but text messaging makes people lazy.
