I have a stepside, can I remove it and replace it with a shortbed?

yes a short bed will it it,,i have changed a few of them over before ,and they work well the frame on those was made for either bed,good luck hope this help,s.have a good x-mas,

Yes, they will interchange. The only thing you will need extra, will be the fuel filler neck hose. Make sure you get the tailights, they are totally different also. But the frame is the same for the stepside or flareside boxes.

is it a s.b. already? do you mean replace it with a full width box? if so, yes you can replace a stepside with a full width

yes you can, direct fit. may need the gas filler hose from the shortbed truck.

ask a wrecking yard but I think the short box frame is the same on fleetside and step side

Yes you can. They have the same frame and the same bolt pattern for mounting the box.
