-Chewing with their mouth open
-Talking with their mouth full
-Not knocking before entering your room or the bathroom
-Just leaving the mess your kids made at your friend's house for your friend to clean up
-Interrupting another when they're saying something
-Discussing one's sexual experiences, politics, religion, or *insert war here* at the dinner table
-Talking over someone
-Blasting the base and volume in your car between 10pm and 8am (rude no matter how urban, suburban, or rural the area is - you're still disturbing someone)
-Not saying "please", "thank you", or "excuse me"/"pardon me" when appropriate
-Yelling at someone for "interfering with your parenting" when they stop your kid from putting a metal paperclip in the electrical outlet (this is where that ever-elusive "thank you" should be used instead)
-Making assumptions before getting any facts
-Go ahead and burp or fart, just say "excuse me" afterwards and if anyone holds a grudge against you for it anyways, phooey on them.
-Putting your feet on the dinner table, bare, socked, or shod, it doesn't matter, it's gross.
(I don't count elbows on the table as bad manners as I prefer a more casual atmosphere and fail to see what's so "offensive" about an elbow resting on a table.)

The one thing I've noticed most that shows lack of breeding is the absolute refusal to wait one's turn. It seems that the only person on the road who matters at all is them - they just won't wait their turn, nearly run you off the road if you're only going the speed limit...crowd you out of line at a store because they want to get going - and they're more important than you... I had a guy today try to run me off the road; it was a 65 speed limit, I was "only" going 70... it was kind of fun to see him, a mile or so farther up the road, sitting beside it with a police car behind him. I know my mother always told me to treat others as I want to be treated; I don't think people are being told that anymore.

hmmm... character development is one. for exmaple, i myself am i young writer and i often forget to develop my different characters as the story progresses! i keep forgetting to chang their attitues towards the situations that they are facing and other such things..... but it is definitely better than having a character who remains the same throughout the entire novel. also, i would say another problem is descriptions. Usually, this can be a problem because of the young writers lack of vocabulary. Perhaps he or she does not even know the word that can describe what he or she is wanting to describe! does that make sense? that is not a problem for me, but some of my friends who are writers, seem to keep their decriptions very short and very plain. Plot can be a problem for young writers. for instance, they may not have considered all of the implications that can occur inside their plot based on the decisions that their characters make. young writers should consider all differnt directions that the plot can take before acutally writting the story. well, i hope this helps!! :)

People that blow their nose in restaurants! Sick. And loud talking on the cell while in line like at the bank. Licking their fingers instead of using a napkin is also disgusting!

I think it is annoying when people just don't pay attention in general, whether its not thanking someone, not practicing common courtesy, leaving their shopping carts in the middle of the aisle, etc...the list just goes on and on
