Hi Delia - that's a scary one huh? It's happened to me and got to where the person was pushing to meet me and I wasn't ready to take it to that point and he got pissed off!!!
Delia, in the event you want to answer, just be careful Honey - not sure how old you are but people do unknowingly fall into the traps of those perv's in providing answers.
Instant Messages primary use if for people YOU want to have a conversation with.
If you meet someone in a chat room and I'm assuming your over 20 -just keep the conversation limited to what you want to know about the person - have him send you pix (which still could be someone else's) and any rudeness, cut the person off - they can be blocked.
I have met others on line from California, Ohio, Nebraska and New York and other states. A few for a couple of years and we've never arranged to meet, just have continued conversations about weather and news in our area - I've met thousands of jerks in between - so use your good senses when conversing with a stranger on-line!!! Well, since I seem to be a magnet for older men from Turkey, Afghanistan, Bolivia, and the Czech Republic that can't type English, much less read it, the conversation usually goes something like this:
them: "Hi! Yu hott wit webcam!"
me: "I don't have a webcam. Go away and get back to me when you learn proper English."
them: "Shouw webcam! Yu wit hot frend gurl! I sweathart!"
me: "I TOLD you, I don't have a webcam! P!ss off. *click*" *blocks*

I never accept random IMs from people I do not know. Most of the time it's a perv. There are enough of those in real life, who needs them in your IMs.
