I would guess it's being assumed that he wants to make a point and have people answer a certain. There is nothing indicating that it's a racist question. It simply sounds like he wants to know which race of people one would consider the most creative. Problem is, there are quite a few who will jump on someone who asks questions such as those. It's like saying, "Which race dominates prosititution?"
Just not a polite question to ask.

It is racist, just not against any particular race. Anytime you lump all people of one race together it is racism. In this case the racism is the assumption that just because someone is of one race they are less creative than others of different races. Creativity is an individual thing. Some people are & some are not. It has nothing to do twith the race of that particular person.

regardless of raceLooking @ the pic there is an assumption and reading the caption there is an assumption and being racist is an assumption so seems that the readers are also assuming...regardless of facts ..... society has not given a fair shake to a positive history for others who are not WASP...true creativity would be in surviving the mental oppression and asking poignant questions such as these.....

I guess it's all in how you perceive the wording of the question. It could have been a question about racing, or it could have been seen as asking for racist answers.

It's implied in his question that creativity level can be linked to race. "Racist" is a very loaded word, but even considering it a neutral word, that is a racist question.
