C is the only one that is always true. (Look up semi-conservative replication if you want more information, particularly the Meselson-Stahl experiment.)
A is true mostly for viruses, but not other organisms.
B is not true for double-stranded DNA.
D is true in prokaryotes since they have no nucleus, but is not true in eukaryotes.

All of the statements are true - but it depends upon the circumstances.
A. Some viruses do have single -stranded DNA. The best example is "parvovirus" - the type of virus you would be worried about if you had dogs or cats.
B. If single-stranded to begin with (see above), then only one strand can be replicated at a time.
C. If DNA is double-stranded (= "normal" DNA, the type found in our cells), then both strands will be replicated. IF YOUR TEACHER IS INSISTING ON ONE CORRECT ANSWER - this is it !!
D. Since bacteria do not have a nucleus, DNA replication, for them, does take place in the cytosol.

A:False. DNA is a double stranded helix. (Besides, if it were true than statements B and C would be pointless)
B:True Only one of the strands needs to be copied as the other strand is a complement so any of the strands would do.
C:False. See above.
D: I dont know sorry.
