OK let's set the record straight.

The mRNA will have exactly the same sequence as the DNA gene sequence with U instead of T, since BY CONVENTION the DNA sequence of a gene is the sequence of the NON-template DNA strand.

so the answer is B.

Prof Kevin when we clone a gene we start with ATG, so that the mRNA has AUG, not with CAT.

If the question were refering to the other DNA strand (but it isn't), which is used as a template for transcription, then you would have

5'-TGCAAT-3'
3'-ACGUUA-5'

But by convention nucleic acids are always written in the 5'->3' direction so the answer would have been AUUGCA.

it must be the clarification that maximum scientists don't understand a thank you to come again up with a greater suitable answer than what Darwin had. a number of direction supported the creation concept, at the same time as now there are increasing volume of scientists who root for the suitable creation concept, the place animals are relatively created 'as-is', no precursors, no ancestors, basically 'are'. (the suitable option me if i'm incorrect, people!) i do no longer evaluate Darwin's concept through fact certainly the reality. there are a number of loopholes in it. working example, if it quite is actual evolution happens through fact of isolation, organic determination and a team of alternative motives, why have not we see any alterations in those Galapagos Island creatures already? The given timeframe is long sufficient for observers to verify some alterations, a minimum of. And if a team of fish start to consume in this type of way that their mouths turn to left, does this warrant the thought as actual? i urge to selection. it quite is like finding at a clean born infant who's left-exceeded and say that the subsequent human evolution will contain left-handedness. the thought holds up through fact the thought through fact it solutions fairly some questions. A concept is basically as actual through fact the questions, and because scientists ask the the suitable option questions, it keeps to be actual. What if the subsequent question positioned via our destiny era can turn the thought on its head, or maybe topple it over? that would be the tip of the thought, and the initiating of yet another concept. i admire this sentence through fact it places each and every thing succinctly in place: 'Theories are created via scientists through fact they don't understand the real solutions.'

WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG

Your teacher IS probably looking for "C", but ALL the answers are wrong.

The reason is that mRNA is always read in the reverse direction from the genomic DNA it was copied from. Sorry, I'm NOT trying to confuse you, but I work with DNA and RNA every day.

So .... actually, while your teacher might be looking for:

ACGUUA, the REAL answer is: AUUGCA (the reverse).

C is correct why? because

T goes with A
and
C goes with G
