why do people say "freedom of speech" when you ask a question that has nothing to do with freedom of speech? apparently it's just cool to say?

I'm not saying they shouldn't be allowed or shouldn't do it? whatever?

I've thought the same thing myself. I wonder of Murdoch has more control over Fox News than the whole Fox Company (20th Century Fox, the Fox channel, etc.)

I need Fox network, since 24 & Idol will be on soon, but I personally despise Fox News. But I suppose they are in the business to make money, and the more "liberal" shows do make more money. After all, it is money that rules the world, right? Politics is second to the almighty dollar.

That the Simpson's is indolent is one of the greatest charms of the show. Fox needs to entice people to watch it's channel or it will go out of business. The Simpson's and other such programs are great in that they insult the station that carries them. If they could find funny conservative shows they would probably run them but how many people would watch 'The Flanders'.

If you are familiar with the tactics of a "fox," it is not at all surprising.

The conservative viewpoint has success as the first goal. Those watching the "liberal" shows then can see Fox news viewpoints and information as reasonable. It is not meant for those who can actually think for themselves, but defines those who come to see conservative points of view through different eyeglasses ... they aren't even aware.

Then redefining "liberal" ... complete before the second reign of Baby Bush ... and liberal becomes a negative term and what I am sure they will name "new conservatism" will be born (again).

The long term effects of these tactics may outlast even the disaster of foreign policy that is just beginning to rear its head!

through fact CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC and CNN and each significant US newspaper are all liberal propaganda. With this type of mushy flow of liberal bias categorized as information for many of years, (all the some time past to Walter Cronkite) honest and balanced information coverage seems alien to them. Fox's maximum often happening opinion based shows are quite often conservative so as that fuels liberal ire. Liberals demonized and distorted George Bush and his administration for 8 years with congressman, information anchors and our modern president all in lock step. Obama's rules and judgements are puzzled yet with Bush the assaults have been lots greater in many circumstances own assaults from those that detest Christians and persons of character.

Rubert Murdock isn't stupid. He knows that crude blue collar humor works with his crude but conservative audience. He sucks in the Evangelicals with Fox News and the Blue collar middle class with his entertainment shows like Simpsons & Married w/ Children.
