Well, i personally would buy a wii.
The Wii's new controlers provide for very fun gameplay, and its different.. i mean how long have we been sitting infront of a tv using a controller with buttons, and just pressing away.. the wii's new controllers are revolutionary and different.
But if your a graphics freak, then the xbox 360, while graphics arent that much different from last gens gaming, there much smoother with better lighting techniques and improved textures. The xbox360's online play is great too.
the ps3 is obviously the worst of the three, its like a xbox360 but 100$ more expensive.

You should get the PS3. It is the newest and the best. It has built in support for playing next-generation dvd formats, like Blu-Ray. You can also use the PS3 as a computer. You can buy and then install Linux which is an operating system. Some games that are out for both systems look better on the xbox360 because they were made for that first and then ported to PS3, there really wasn't much a noticable difference anyway.. I believe newer games made intentionaly for the PS3 will be better.
Get whatever type of games you like.
PS3 has a bigger selection of games that the xbox360 because you can play many of your PS3 and PS2 games on that system.

good luck buying a wii. personally, i think you should get an xbox 360. its got really great graphics, is alot cheaper, and has the largest selection of games to choose from out of all of them.

PS3, get Resistence: Fall of Man and definitely MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots, if u love MGS, like me.
