If your vacuumn cleaner is a floor canister type, remove the hose "tubing" at both ends. Straighten out a wire coathanger, and then make a tiny hook at one end. Insert hanger into hose, and rotate, pull it out, you should have a thick wad of hair, dust, scraps.. Repeat from other end. If you have a stand up vacuumn you can still do this, but may not be able to get the hoses off at both ends. Be sure and unplug vacuumn before doing this procedure. Good luck.

Again, it's really difficult to be helpful if you don't give adequate details abt the problem. If the vacuum truly sucks up material and then "spits it out" (as opposed to never sucking it up at all), then you might just need to replace the perhaps burst bag. It might be too full anyway -- which could have provoked the bursting.

TRY THE BELT FIRST IT MIGHT BE BROKE. THEN CHECK YOUR BAG IF IT HAS A BAG MAYBE IT NEEDS REFILLED. OTHERWISE I'D BREAK OUT A 'SNAKE' (USED 2 UNPLUG PIPES) AND RAM IT IN ALL ORIFICES OF THE SWEEPER.
