it will be closer to the post apocalyptic world full of anarchy. And thats NOT being pessimistic.

There will be machines to be able to read everyone elses thoughts. So that literally our every move will be recorded and in some database, just like everything we type here, or every website we visit can be traced. So every thought will be on record. Today people go back and find dirt on politicians through arrest papers, etc. In 20 years, their rivals will be pulling out a chat transcript that some future politician had when he was 18 in which he is talking dirty to someone else, and use it against him or her. In 100 years, people will be able to go back 20 years and comb through your thoughts, and say "look everyone, this person THOUGHT this about women, or this ethnic group, or about being mean to animals, etc. , or whatever.

Big Brother really will be watching. But thats only the beginning, and that could happen before the apocalypse.

There will NOT be a utopian paradise, I am sure of that. I mean, technology is not going away. Nuclear bombs will always be here, we can't put that genie back in the bottle, and someone will always be trying to acquire them, and we will always have to try to stop them.

What a nightmare. I really don't want to live beyond 2050, I hope I can get off this trainwreck before the stuff really hits the fan!

There will be more problems and people in 100 years, And all the problems we face now will still be there, I'll miss all of it, Life will be very hard on every one. Gas will cost $75.00 a liter. And forget bottled water. 1 in 3 children will die before they ar a year old. Medical help will not be available to any one. I can't go on. I just think it will be like watching fish die in a little pond as the water evaporates.

We would be living in air conditioned, underground habitats, walking the corridors without need or fear under a compassionate system of justice, equality and common welfare. Our only labor would be ensuring a steady supply of mined minerals to serve the needs of our robot overlords who would be concentrating on preserving that habitat and somehow reversing the runaway global warming that has rendered the surface uninhabitable.
