Our galaxy has 200 billion stars, and you can see a good number of them in the Milky Way. But if you mean individual stars you can make out from your backyard without a telescope, you can see about 3,000 on a dark night. If you can see the Milky Way and the Andromeda Galaxy (the only other naked-eye galaxy), you can see 600 billion stars at once!

In the sky there are probably hundreds of billions that we can see, each year more are probably made, and that's NOT including other galaxies.

Billions and billions... not just in our galaxy, but in others. To the naked eye, on a clear night, it seems like there are millions, but in reality there are only about 8,000 visible without optical assistance.
