Nope. Black people say it as a form of endearment to one another. I used to play football and the blacks said it to each other all the time, but when a white dude said it, he got punched in the face.

When black people use it, it's all in good fun. When white people use it, it's the most offensive thing they can say to a black person. That is the way it is, because it is that way. Why? I have no idea!!

I think that the double standard of calling themselves that word and yet getting upset when others do is illogical. I honesty don't think anyone should use the word due to the meanings that has been associated with it.

It's a word that is not appropriate for anyone.

You just asked one of the most difficult questions that could be asked in America today. We actually had a panel discussion about it my college and we still couldn't agree if African Americans should use it or nobody at all.

It's a word. It doesn't matter what you replace it with, it is the concept or action that goes with it that makes it offensive
