Buy a video card with video output, keep in mind, the picture will be no where near as clear!

I don't know why you would want to connect your tv with the monitor.

In any case those 2 prior comments are correct and probably the cheapest, in addition you can get a wireless network going. If you want control directly from the tv then get a htpc with the necessary software and remote.

you need a video card that has either S-Video output or standard RCA output, that's it...
