No I would not cry a lot of the presents you get are not up to much anyway so its good riddance and you get lots of sympathy now that can lead to some interesting outcomes.

No. They're only things - socks, books, cds, whatever - and they're all replacable, so why cry over them? If I woke up and my cat was gone (she's 14 years old) I'd be sad.
