Because your stomach muscles and cervix aren't back to normal yet. Take it easy.

Please don't take "mystic_eye_cdas" advice...she is completely wrong (moronic) and telling you to be wreckless with your body.

Because you need time to heal. Your body is inured during the process of birth, the uterus and birth canal both need time to heal, and your uterus has to shrink back into a normal size. Plus you don't want to rip out any stitches you might have had, and if you had a c-section it takes you even longer before the Dr.'s say you can exercise. Exercising too soon after birth can probably cause excessive bleeding.

actually,I had alot of confidence about getting back in shape, and I was pretty antsy about getting back into shape ,so I didn't listen to exsactly what the doctors said.
I started excersising as little as 2 weeks after delivery.
But slowly ,and gradually though.
I started with slight tightning of my inner legs because they were in grate need of recovery,I knew my body the best, and there was nothing the doctors could do to stop me.
I was determined to get my body back into shape, and I was up and about within a few hours of delivery.
That's just how I am.
A strong woman with a strong will to do my best.

Because your body needs to heal. You not only have to worry about pain, but also fainting.

Don't worry about losing weight..95% of mine came off by itself in the first 6 weeks. It melts right off as long as you take care of yourself.

Because they believe you are too dumb to know not to push yourself too hard.

Do what you want. If it hurts stop. If your bleeding increases reduce what you are doing.

But seriously if you feel up for a walk, or a jog, aerobics, or something go for it.

No swimming and be careful of your abs if your muscles split. (Mine did, and you would TOTALLY know!)

because usually you wont feel like it. instead of vigorous exercise. try a short walk. exercisingcan cause the bleeding to keep going, and if you have sitches can rip them out. also, youre going to be very tired and tire very easily. ...basically your health is down and exercising can hurt you more than help you. if you wat to get some exerise. try walking or other things that wont make you strain or tire you out more than you should be
