Houston gets hotter in summer with a July average high of 94°F. Orlando is slightly cooler with a July average high of 92°F. Houston also has a higher all-time high of 107°F, compared to Orlando's 100°F (it's been 100° in Orlando several times though). Orlando however is hotter in winter with a January average high of 72°F, while Houston is quite a bit cooler with 61°F in January.

So I would say Houston gets hotter as far as maximum temperatures in summer are concerned, but Orlando stays warmer on average throughout the year.

I vote for Houston. It's much wetter and humid. Orlando is rarely above 100 degrees and Houston seems to go weeks with that kind of heat and humidity.

I've been to both places. Definitely Orlando.

I was walking down the street on a summer day with no couds and no wind and I thought to myself, "Oh, God. This must be what it feels like to be baked alive."

Orlando=Hot
