Read your own question! File sharing is the keyword! You share files with total strangers when you use ANY of them! You WILL receive malware at some point! Most of the people you download from arent even aware of the fact that they are infected! Then you also have the aholes who do it intentionally! Anyone that tells you ANY of them are safe is a fool!

There is no such thing as a file-sharing "website". You will be downloading from strangers all over the world and at the same time you will be uploading files from your computer to theirs.
It is kind of like taking food from a stranger. One must be very careful yet still you will eventually end up with a sick computer!

this depends on some of the individuals some are low life and send out viruses... it's the low life that spoil it for everyone
so I would say know the file size before you start to download, files can be named anything and you would not know the difference,,
one way to be sure is check several file of the same name for the size, don't just download the first you see

None of them are safe. Even if you manage to avoid getting infected with a virus, worm, or trojan, you're still breaking the law and could get in trouble for that.
