Like each of your kids you spend $xx and each of your siblings you spend $x and each of your parents you spend $xxx and so on....

My mother does this down to the dollar. I just stay in the same price range (not a dollar store gift for one and a Macy's gift for the other) and focus most on getting a suitable gift. Sometimes the *perfect* gift for one person is $20 and for the other it's $40.

Insight? Opinions?

Believe or not it is not something you can control. I have been trying to do that in the past couple years. I have not come close yet. Also some items you mind find it on sale and some people rather have a gift card instead of clothes or anything else.

close but there are two people I spend more on than anyone else who are my fiance and a little girl who means as much to me as if she was my own daughter
