Not too much can be done to get the red out, except to wait. Depending on your age and health of your skin this could take between 10-30 days. Your best bet is to cover it, lightly, with cover-up that has NO mineral oil or petrolatum products...these can cause more zits. To minimize your getting them, you MUST MOISTURIZE your skin to turn off the oil production. Using many over the counter acne product dry out the skin as well as the zit and cause more zits to appear. Again, your moisturizer should contain NO mineral oil or petrolatum products. I use Arbonne and ALL my acne is gone.

There is a great product you will have to use for the rest of your life anyway, if you want to stay pretty. It's named Dermablend and a tube lasts many years. Make sure the dept. store cosmetics saleslady knows how to match your exact color. It goes on from a tube like make-up, in a tiny amount, and it covers a multitude of sins that will take you from acne to old age spots and all the sun damage in between! If you want to spend less, go to a drugstore and buy a liquid undereye concealer wand matching your color yourself and dab it on until it dries and you're satisfied it's smoothed out and vanished!

You can use Mederma for Scars to take the red out. I have the same issue from time to time, and I put the Mederma on it at night, and it is faded when I wake up... so I don't know how long it takes, but it works every time. You can buy Mederma at most grocery, discount, and pharmacy type stores.

first of all you have to know what type of skin do you have is it oily, dry, normal, you can not put any acne products just because it works in other people, using products with out knowing your skin type would probably irritate or worsen the condition. Best if you go to a dermatolgist to see whats good for your skin type.

Try Arbonne's anti-aging serum. That's what I use to help with scaring. Depending on your age, as you get older, it takes longer for your skin cell to regenerate/turn over new skin cells. This serum helps to speed up the regeneration process therefore you get new skin faster thus the redness/scaring will go away faster. Check out this website...www.utbiz.myarbonne.com
