They both burn but keep in mind, If you are purchasing one, make sure you get one that burns all file formats! Some burners can be misleading!

a cd author is maximum regularly noted as a re-author. so which you would be able to upload and delete data from like minded cd or dvd's ( CD/RW and DVD/RW's) a burner can in basic terms upload the data to a cd, no longer delete them. it relatively is used on all varieties of cd and dvd discs.
