I have a plus size girlfriend and i really don't like the way she dresses. So i was wondering was there a website or magazine that shows and lists styles and gives tips that caters more to plus-size women.
So that i can show her & give her ideas on maybe other ways she can dress.

I'm not sure of her size or portions based on what you said, but it's best to go with structured jackets or blazers. When the seams are lined, it enhances the figure no matter what size you are.
You can find cute things with good structure at old navy or the gap and they look good with jeans or knee length skirts. The key is for her to not wear anything too tight OR too big.
If she dresses badly, maybe it's because she has a poor image of herself. Take her shopping and always, always tell her how beautiful she is.
If you see something on her you like, point it out by saying "wow...i love it when you wear____, you look amazing."
It sounds cheesy but when my bf tells me he likes a certain thing i do or wear, i tend to keep wearing or doing it.

The magazine mentioned earlier Figure - is excellent. It contains photo shoots, make overs, stories , and contains coupons also. There are several stores in most malls - Lane Bryant, Avenue, Cato's and Catherines that always have great selection. Personally I have never been able to find as much at the larger stores (Sears, JC Penney's, Gap or Old Navy etc) but depending on her exact clothing size she might be able to.
There are some sites online that you can buy from - but the one thing I really HATE about some of them and their catalogues is that the models are really skinny - but the clothing is plus size. I'm sorry but some things that look really nice on a size 4 is not gonna look good on a size 24.
Keep in mind tho, that if she's happy with the way she dresses, you are NOT gonna be able to change her.

Why don't you take her out on a shopping spree. Have her try on clothes and buy her the stuff that you think she looks good in. All you have to say is " Honey I am taking you shopping!" She will be game. A plus size woman does not need to order through the mail or Internet. They need to go to the store and try the clothing on. Clothing comes in different sizes. Like I may wear an 8 from Old Navy but a 10 from JC Pennys. You never know what you are gonna get. So, just take her out shopping. It'll be fun and you will get to tell her what you think looks really good on her!! It is a win-win situation!!

Well, hon, it's simple girl rules:
1. Dark colors, like navy, r instant slimmers in clothing.
2. No horizontal lines! vertical ones help a lot!.
3. Opt for a monochromatic outfit where your top and skirt or trousers are the same color or hue.
4. Wear blazer and cardigans long and unbuttoned for maximum vertical lines.
5. Oblong scarves are a great accessory when tied loosely around the neck, creating a long, vertical line.
6. Match pantyhose hue to skirt or pant and shoe color to create a slender silhouette.
7. Avoid chokers, long necklaces or pendants are more slimming.
8. Choose shoes with at least a 1 inch heel -- the taller the better.
9. Elongate the neck with open necklines such as v-necks, sweetheart necklines and vertical cowl necks.
Oh and also look at this:

Good luck!!!!. :)!

First of all, your girlfriend is who she is. Don't try to change her. However, there is a plus-size magazine "Figure", but it only comes out every three months.

Tantrum caters especially to the plus size woman.
Basically let her know you love her body...and clothes that flatter her would make her look even sexier. Be careful how you word yourself,us women are sensitive....

I dont know of much catologs but if she is a plus size and you want her to dress more better have her wear a comfortable long skirt jean or cotton and mabe a shirt with a sweater over it.....she could look classy yet comfortable at the same time and respectable also....if she wants to that is....buy her a alphet like that for one of the holidays see if she likes it. if she does then you can get her more or she can get herself more.
Good Luck!

Try looking at www.torrid.com for ideas on what you would like to see your girlfriend where, then go out and buy that in the mall from a cute store so she doesn't have to answer "I got this from Torrid" when people say "That's a cute skirt, where'd you get it?".

I love the show 'What Not to Wear' on TLC. They address every woman's body type, and individual problems-and give great solutions! They also have a website that she can refer to. Highly recommend it! Hope this helps...
