I believe that the best thing to do is to butt out of the Middle East, and let them figure it out for themselves. The only reason the US is there is because of it's Strategic interests in Petroleum products, and the control of those products. If we in the West were to suddenly stop buying their Oil, they wouldn't have the funds to back all the insurgencies that are going on in the Middle East. Israel can look after itself, and the Arabs are so busy infighting, that they will probably (sadly) destroy each other before there is even a modicum of peace. I say bring home our troops, protect our own borders, and cut them off completely, financially and otherwise, until they decide to join the Human Race and stop killing each other and preaching hatred. (we should do the same thing though).

There's a collection of cartoons by a political cartoonist from the 1960s. The cartoonist's name was "R Cobb". The cartoons were in black and white. One of my favorite cartoons was two guys sitting under a piece of cardboard or a piece of tin that was barely big enough to cover their two bodies. It's propped up by a piece of a stick. There's nothing for MILES but these two characters, and no sign of any sort of food. An empty tin can that was food sits nearby. One turns to the other and the caption is, "I heard a rumor the other day. They said, "We won!"
And yet, I don't know that we'd win a battle with Osama when he has missiles and RPGs, roadside bombs and nerve gas, and we have spit balls.
The bottom line, as General Schwarzkopf said during the Gulf War, "if it comes down to Joe or me, I'm going to be the one who survives."
For all your wishing for a better world, if tomorrow, someone kicked your front door down (home invasion), and you were suddently facing 3 guys with pistols who demanded your money, one grabbed your two young children, another indicated they were going to rob you and sexually assault you, and then your kids, don't tell me that if you could get to your gun, you wouldn't shoot all 3.
And if you don't own a gun, I must ask you "why not?"
In the hour it may take the police to respond-- if you get the chance to call-- it could all be over.

interior the U.S. we've the liberty to verify on our faith. we've the liberty to transform from one faith custom to a various faith custom. My pastor, to illustrate, is a former Catholic. usa has been a magnificent test in letting the industry of innovations pass freely. Christianity has thrived in that industry, and now particular New Age ideals and Islam are choosing up velocity. Atheism isn't commencing the way you think of it would (because all non secular people — especially Christians like me — are finished fools). One might think of that a thought gadget, which whilst taken to its logical end extracts any hint or threat of fee and meaning, might crush the country with such profound expertise. you're a cosmic twist of destiny. The piece of gravel on your driveway is likewise a cosmic twist of destiny. Hooray! i think we ought to consistently all pass and build a medical institution, in spite of the shown fact that it quite isn't any use — the rocks will nonetheless out-stay us.

True...nuking the middle east would make us no better than the extremists.
However, with the ever growing population of terrorists, we need to focus on homeland security...oh wait, that's a fascist idea!
I guess we'll all die!

Who said we wanted to nuke the whole place? All we want is for the fighting to stop. The Quran teaches muslims to hate all christians and jews. It's hard to try to get along with people who are taught to kill.

the US was attacked becausew of its foreign policy since WW2. supporting dictators like saddam is bound to make you a target.why do so many ignorant americans think the country lost its innocence when it was attacked? because they have closed their eyes to the atrocites the govt has commited consistently in their name.l

I don't think i recomend nuking the entire middle east, but i have an idea of what you are saying
you are putting morals before lives.
So, my question to you is, who has to die in order for us to keep our morals? Your family? I know i don't want my family to die over some morals

If you want to get down to the level of our enemies, you would hide behind civilians as you set off you homicide bombs and behead your foes and burn their bodies. I don't see the liberals allowing us to fight like Americans much those cowards!
