The U.S. says we are a free society but from Representative Goode in Virginia, he states that we should immigration from all non EU countries? How good is that for our image in the global community

Yes, Muslims are welcome in this country. So are Irish, German, and Russian people, but that doesn't mean they won't have to deal with some racism. It's an unfortunate part of any society, but can be dealt with.
As far as lumping all Muslims and terrorists into the same category, be careful of that. I was welcomed into many Muslim homes during my two tours of Iraq where I was given a comfortable place to sit, a hot tea to drink, and a neighborly smile. The average person I encountered in that country were very hospitible, regardless of religion. I would like to see such compassion in my own country.

As it is a free country, he is entitled to his opinion. My opinion is we shoud slow down immigration, regardless of where from. I think muslims are as welcome as anyone. We have open arms....and are very tolerant of other ways of life. Go to Russia and try to practice Christianity. Go to China and teach democracy. Go to South Africa and sing God Bless America.
We live in a great country that gets a bad rap. As for me, I'd pick here (by a longshot) over any country anywhere.

It wouldnt' do much good. The shoe bomber was a British pakistani. In fact most of the terrorists were British, as its so easy to become british nowadays..
