It is absolutely beautiful. Think of all the colors emitted when elements and compounds are burned. Think of the different acid-base indicators. Think of the compounds formed from the Transition Metals.

I started out majoring in bio. and soil sci. as I progressed through I realized it was all chemistry. I find it amazing the chemical processes that occur in our body. It is like a huge chemical factory.

I find it pretty maddening at times but yes, on the whole I think it is an amazing field of study.

Yes, I love the structures of molecules and atoms, and how molecular structure of something affects the properties we can detect with our senses.
