My 10 year old musicaly inclined son wants to get a drum set, and since we have many guitars, pianos, etc, I am interested in this also. Do not want a little kids set, but a full size beginners set.

Any suggestions, vintage, new, ebay?

Bill

you are probably going to want a high hat, crash cymbol, ride cymbol, two toms, floor tom, snare drum & bass drum.

If you go onto musiciansfriend.com, they have a lot of great PDP and Pearl sets. If they come with cymbals, the cymbals a ren't great. Get a cheap little starter pack, but make sure it has at least a hi-hat and a crash/ride. Hope I helped!

nicely it is not going to be merciless in case you do no longer purchase a small drum gadgets to bypass with the drum stick. purely understand if he opt to play drum or no longer yet i'll assert get him some thing like a small distant motor vehicle racer. he will love that.
