Not really, but sort of. It's generally considered that most dragon legends came from the discovery of dinosaur bones, which have actually been dug up since ancient times in various areas of the world. If you put a skeleton together with a t-rex head & didn't know better, what would you think?

The Komodo Dragons due rate mentioning as they are real life lizards that exist in the south pacific & in some zoos. Try searching them on the web & you might see a few more reasons why some people think dragons are real.

That issue has been debated for a long time. Over thousands of years, people in many different countries have depicted some sort of dragon like creature. The thought is, how could so many countries, thousand of years ago, all depict a creature of such simularities. So, for now, who really knows?

You better believe they are, honey. They like to eat disbelievers with catsup or barbeque sauce. They are as real as unicorns, faeries, Santa Clause, and your great-grandmother. What? Great-grandma's dead, you say? Oh, she lives on in your heart, and so do all those others.

I think it depends what level of conscious we are looking into, and what level of consciousness that you are speaking of.
To put it simply, dragons could have existed at one time, and may still exist, on another plane, in another space and reality.
why not?
