Practice Practice Practice. Your vocal chords are muscles in their own, and just like when you go out to run you have to stretch your muscles and warm them up so they can perform to their full potential. Making siren noises and panting like a dog are excellent ways to warm up your vocal chords. Also, vocalize going up and down major scales. Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do. The best singers in the world require at least 15 minutes to warm up their vocal chords.

To familiarize yourself with hitting specific notes, you absolutely must sing with a piano or guitar as a backup until you know you are dead on. The biggest problem singers face is they don't learn how to tell whether they are sharp, flat or natural.

k, first of all, good luck
2. i suggest u take voice lessons, u noe w/ a pro, not singing lessons either, VOICE lessons
they teach u how to announciate and project
3.learn how to breeathe and sing from within ur diafram, w/e, no time for spelling.
4.theres so much to do when ur actually learbibg, thats its practicall impossible to add the fatc that ur doing it by yourself
just take lessons, their not alwayz that expensive
and last but not leats, learn to play an instrument. maybe like a piano or guitar so u could cvompare notes, do a piano for the best

good luck, and i hope u become reely gud to get where u need to go

If you don't want to take voice lessons, than just keep practicing. Remember this too, if you don't sound exactly like someone else don't worry because you might have a unique voice that only sounds good with your own material. Hope this helped you. I sing too and my voice sounds great with my own songs I write.

If you have a piano, or a piano app or something like that, play a tone and try to match that tone with your voice, then do a couple and eventually a song, like twinkle, twinkle little star and just in crease in difficulty as you become more confident
