hi the cubs are the better team and they sell out every game. the sox played great in 2005 and would only draw 10 to 12 thousand a game. i'm for two teams, the CUBS and who ever the sox play.

The Cubs did make some nice offseason acquisitions. Obviously signing an MVP caliber player in Alfonso Soriano won't hurt. The only thing he might bring negatively to the team is his attitude, but if they are winning that should be no problem. Note how I said, "IF THEY ARE WINNING". Signing Jason Marquis will give them a decent starting pitcher, but no more than that. I don't think he deserves the large contract he received, but hey, he is a starting pitcher and that is what teams are paying for.
Lou Piniella brings a winning attitude and experience to the Cubs and energy that can spread throughout the clubhouse and the dugout. He will also occasionally bring some laughs with his crazy antics he displays when things don't go his way with the umpires.
If Derrek Lee stays healthy that will certainly be a huge boost to the offense and will give the Cubs a 1-2-3 punch with Soriano, and Aramis Ramirez. But a HUGE factor is if they can get Mark Prior or Kerry Wood healthy. If they both, by some miracle stay healthy, watch out National League.
I think the Cubs are on a huge uprise and can surprise a lot of people in the NL. I think they will enter the season with high expectations, which we will have to wait and see how they play out.
The White Sox counter with a good manager in Ozzie Guillen, but at the same time provides distractions on the side. The Sox are deep in pitching and have a solid offense.
I think both teams certainly are good and may both reach the playoffs, but at this point I really can't answer who is better. We will have to wait and see how things go during the regular season.
I would like to see the Cubs reach the playoffs. It has been a few years and I think if they get in they will be "America's team", as the Red Sox were in '04.

I think White Sox are. Starting staff, sox have 5 solid starters in Beuhrle, Contreras, Garland, Vazquez, and McCarthy. All of these guys except for McCarthy showed they can pitch against the best. While Cubs have Zambrano who is a Cy Young Candidate no doubt, but then Prior who is injury prone, Lilly is nothing better then a .500 pitcher, Marquis gets rocked in New Busch how do you think hes going to fare in Wrigley? Then Hill, he could probably suprise people and Wade Miller who is like Prior, injury prone. Offense White Sox have the best 3-4-5 punch in the game and Podsednik and Iguchi on base helps them score many runs. Soriano will help the Cubs a lot but offensively Sox still have the advantage. All-in-all both teams are close in every category but White Sox have the advantage Offensively and Pitching wise.

The White Sox are definitely better than the Cubs. The Cubs did make a couple good moves this year, but there could be problems with chemistry and it'll take at least a few years to get into contention.

white sox. The cubs got soriano but the white sox were far ahead of them before and play in the better of the two leagues the AL. You need pitching to be good not just a great hitter.

Right now it's too early to tell, because the season hasn't started yet, but on paper, the White Sox look like the better team.

I think the cubs are better, but their player must be healthy and consistent all year if the cubs want a good chance
