i suggest you don't bother and instead use a real browser, at no cost and fewer headaches....

On top of Internet Explorer, click on Help and choose About Internet Explorer.

Just click on Help on the menu bar, then select About Internet Explorer. A box will pop up with all the information you need.

in help menu click on about internet explorer
this box that pops up will say which version you have
