Some pets will live as long as humans, like parrots. Some will take more care than others, you should research the types of pets that interest you, talk to your local pet shop about the care & what you will need to maintain this exotic pet. Be sure you really want to be devoted. Pets are rewarding, but time consuming as well as money to maintain.
Then ask Y!A if anyone owns one.....go from there

you need to think of how much time you can spend taking care of it, how much space you have, how much money you have to spend on it, ect... if you give more details I can help more.
also, exotic pets are often taken out the wild which is cruel, while a good home is better than someone who doesn't know what they're doing and if you researched and provided a good home for one you'd be helping one animal you'd still be supporting taking animals from their natural homes for our entertainment.

Exotic tropical water turtle or striped snake or scorpion or a iguana those are supper exotic and they like crickets! thats really non cheap b-cuz u can catch the crickets from your back yard

Hand fed cockatiel, tropical fish, papillon (very small cute dog with huge ears), any reptile.
