I am a 1/5 Th Native American (Crow Tribe , Kansas) She was my Great Grandmother & i loved her to death. She would not let anyone put her down , even my Irish Great Grandfather. back in the late 40s she told me to be PROUD of the native blood that I have & I am.People would tell her to go back to the reservation where she belonged, ( not within earshot of Great Greandad if they wanted to live). She even then said native americans were their own worse enemies but relieing on others & not themself. You BROTHER seem to have fallen into that trap. You blame the Goverment for ALL your troubles. What have you done to help yourself or your people. The Custom of the Crows Is no man shall eat until all the Wemen & Children have been fed. Wemen & children shall have shelter even if the man has to sleep out side. Of course the man with the skip loader gets more then the man with the shovel He has more invested.. It is up to the Tribal Council to keep track of how much money is paid & where it goes. If they are not doing their job , Elect someone who will. Blame the right people not those you want revenge on. The WHITEMAN won. I may not like it but you & I need to except it.

I don't think that is true and is part of the hysterical political rhetoric that people spout that is so far out there. If anything the Fed Government has done too much and have turned reservations into welfare havens where people do not work. The only way to make it in America is to get out there, get involved in mainstream America and stop buying into the hate mongering that is done by activists who gain power only by keeping people down. I am an immigrant, 2nd generation, and we take advantage of what is available, went to school on student loans, borrowed money to start businesses. Stop believing that there is some conspiracy of people who are keeping you down. You are keeping you down. I would be fascinated to know how the gambling thing has worked out and where does the money go. How is that Native American?

Hey Chief, how many times are you going to ask for help then cry and moan about it? You are getting it back in your casinos. A native american shoveling coal by hand at $1.00 a ton. Been sniffing too much mine gas there Tonto.

It is not the government's job to solve a person's personal problems. Most of the Native American tribes that have high alcoholism problems do so because the government has replaced the parents.

Besides, the illegal aliend flock to big cities, where there are chances for jobs. How many people live in SD anyway, like, 10,000?
