cramping and on and off heavy bleeding. my dr prescribed methergine and said it might cause pain,but i am already having cramping on and off. if somebody took medicine after miscarrige, can somebody tell me how much pain we are talking about with the medicine?

Your gonna have some cramping, but it shouldn't be something that's unbearable.....but anyway it goes your gonna have abdominal pain. But this drug is usually used to help stop/control the bleeding...........but if you are still bleeding, then don't worry about the side effects of taking this, worry about the side effects if you don't take it.....It's best that you do take it, your doctor is only trying to look out for you.

You really should call the Dr...or go to the emergency room because there should only be a little bit of cramping, but nothing really painful.....

it should be light cramping but not cramps that make you bend over in excruating pain, you need to go back to the doctors.
