i have some brand new clothes new with tags and i really want to give them to people in shelters for christmas

can i do this? how would it work?

Yes you can do this. You have to call the local shelters and ask for their donation policies, they vary SOOO much! How sweet of you!

Call the shelters and ask them if they are accepting clothes. Make sure they are clean, washed and/or dry-cleaned before you drop them off at the shelter.

Contact the shelters or the Salvation Army and they'll tell you what their procedure is.
