"Sunshine on Leith" is a beautiful song but it reminds me of my friend from Leith who died a few years ago from a brain tumour,
he was a musician and I first heard it on the radio just after he died!
So... its Fairytale of New York for me, the last verse is so poignant and full of pathos, it just sums up what Christmas is like for the majority of us, the great unwashed, arguing with the people you love and drinking to much!!

Definitly "Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I see that someone earlier mentioned this song and incorrectly called it Carol of the Bells. Although this song IS a version of Carol of the Bells, that is not the name that TSO gave their take on it. Other TSO christmas songs i particularly enjoy:
