my mom and dad have split up and i said to my dad instead of getting me a xmas present can you give me the money to order them from the internet but he said no he doesnt want to get her a present, even though he technically isnt i am.
She really wants them and i really want to get them for her.
Any advice about how to get round my dad?

that's really sweet - what you should have done is asked him for some ghd straighteners!
don't think you can really expect him to contribute to your mums present - it's you he wants to buy for.
your mum will appreciate whatever you get her because that's what mums do. you can always save up and get her some for her birthday?
