I am a elementary ed. major fresh from college, how long does it take to get a full time teaching job?

Where I live (Alberta, Canada) 90% of students who graduate with a B.Ed in April are hired to work full-time for the local school board the following September. Of course, our population is booming and many teachers are retiring. If you choose to live somewhere where the number of young people is declining, then you might never find a full-time teaching job.

there are many opening in philippines, but new graduates are mostly offered rural positions..like a teacher in mountains or far from cities.
