I think they will have an even better chance than last year becuase of the addition of JD Drew and Juilio Lugo. You can't forget Dice-K!!

Oh yea, because paying 100 million over all to sign this Japanese player makes you instant contenders, I dont care if hes the greatest pitcher of all time, hes only going to start at the absolute most like 30 times. Plus, this guy could turn out to be the biggest bust of all times, he played well in the baseball classic, granted, but with more than 3 or 4 at bats, major league hitters will be alot better against him trust me, plus they may not even make the playoffs because the yankees will undoubtably be better again, and now the red sox have even lost all credibility to calling them the evil empire due to their rediculous amount paid for this guy, once again proving the old saying, if you cant beat them join them

I think they could have another title this year if the relief pitching holds up since Papelbon will switch to LRP. With the additions of Julio Lugo, JD Drew and dMAT this could be the year that the Red Sox win their second title in the last four years.

Of course not. The Cardinals have already won it.

No way. maybe if they didnt waste all their money on a guy that hasn't thrown one pitch in the mlb yet and an average outfeilder and got some better proven talent they would have a small chance.

Everybody is on equal footing until they play some games. They've got as much a chance as anyone.
