1.) We destroyed the training camps in Afghanistan and unseated the Taliban Government 2.) We invaded Iraq (Why?) Unseated Sadaam's people and opened Pandora's Box. What now?
The Muslims are still here and want to harm us. We are allowing them to run in across our open borders. We believe we have to spend huge fortunes in Iraq to win the hearts and minds...
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?

US foreign policy has always been the problem. US has bases in more than 110 countries of the world (about 60%). Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and terrorists didn't attack because they hate our freedom but because we supported dictators like Saddam, Pinochet and other mass-murderers.

if it was about "freedom", why didn't they attack Sweden, Costa Rica or South Africa?

It's the foreign policy, stupid....

(i am not referring to you of course)

We have not been winning hearts and minds, and we got attacked, because we think running around the world, butting into other countries' business and throwing our military weight around is a good way to go about it. If the CIA hadn't trained Bin Laden to begin with, he wouldn't have attacked us. If we had spent some effort educating our military in some local culture and maybe even some Arabic before we sent them in, there would have been better communication with local Iraqis and the situation there wouldn't have been so bad. A rifle pointed at you is never a nice way to meet someone new.

So that's what's happening. The problem is we're making new enemies daily. People who want to help us get angry because we accidentally or through negligence killed their cousin or sister or whatever, and then militants pick them up and recruit them. There would be no terrorists if we stopped pissing everybody off by "nation building" the world the way we think it should be without listening to warnings and advice from our friends.

you are absolutely right , but aren't we all forgetful about what transpired in the first few weeks after the destruction of the W,T,C, America was yelling for blood, our so called intelligence service gave us information "that they were so stupid about" , but the Israeli Mossad passed on to them, the Mossad assured our C,I,A, that Iraq was responsible for the bombings etc, and that Saddam had all of these W,M,D, and had supported the Islamic terrorist, the Taliban, knowing damned well it was a lie, in essence they conned America into destroying their worst enemy,
and they didn't lose not one man?? good friends huh? I personally despise the Muslim religion and don't think we should allow Muslims into our country, but, do you really blame them from hating us, look at what we have did to them, we have devastated them ,with our complete support of Israel who is worse than Hitlers regime, the Jews have conned American their favorite puppet into every war since the civil war, and it will continue until we get the Jews out of our public offices over 60% and put America in the forefront, now we are stuck in Iraq with no way out except a clear victory, or we will be fighting them in our streets. when will American people wake up and realize how unscrupulous Jews are and demand better protection from them ???

Getting rid of the media would be a good start. They don't give us full details just what they want us to know and even then it's biased so it adds up to a lot of confusion. Then add everybodys anaylizing opinion and you have a real mess! We have people to deal with these things as the average person is'nt capable. We attacked Iraq after those who attacked us declared war with us and they don't care if we fight on their territory or ours but they won't stop till they've won. If we win it means our God is stronger than theres and visa versa. Demented but it's the way it is.

We screwed up.

But it seems fairly likely that getting us tangled in this mess was exactly what Bush wanted to do.. considering the fact that he didn't come up with any backup plan JUST IN CASE the numerous people who told him this would turn into a mess were right.

It's how he and his friends run corporations... lie and cheat and get the stock numbers up, then run the company into the ground and make off with the stock money. Only now they're using the United States of America. Get us tangled up in a war, squeeze all the money out of us possible by investing in arms manufacturers, then leave office a richer happier man... because no matter how bad things get in the U.S., the wealthiest are immune.

It relies upon on which people you're asking. i think of maximum people (the maximum recent determine is two-thirds i think of) do no longer choose this occupation anymore. US "protection" firms or militia contractors and their managers and shareholders choose the occupation to proceed of direction. Republicans presently, via definition or inference, back aggressive foreign places coverage. maximum of those celebration members, i might say, choose the war to proceed through fact they are jingoistic and immature and don't choose their united states of america to lose (despite meaning). i think of we ought to remember that the occupation of Iraq isn't the only government coverage awry; our militia spending is substantial, conspicuously because international war 2, and enriches the rich (protection firms), which negates greater significant social spending. Militarism below each and each president, decade after decade, is our international locations undertaking.

only al-queda has attacked us over the past 15 years... so I say focus on Osama and leadership... go where ever he is... don't take no for an answer...

it's not that hard... we would have him in 6 months if we wanted too and focused the entire military on the objective...

there is no other group that has shown any ability to attack the domestic U.S. on any real level

Bush, Cheney, & Haliburton are making a bundle. Only middle class tax payers are paying for the war, remember the big tax breaks for the rich. Once they are out of office, we are on our own.
