People are able to put wrong information on Wikipedia, but other people correct it. Usually when someone puts wrong information on it, you can tell becuase it's something stupid or innapropriate. Stuff like that doesn't stay on for long because other people correct it.

Wikipedia is a great place to start research on a topic. Most of the information is correct, but not all. It does, however, help you find other sources- there's usually a list of reference links at the bottom. Anything I want to know, I'll usually start with Wikipedia and then look into where they got that information.

Normally information on Wikipedia is accurate but since anyone can edit somebody will put inaccurate information on it. The inaccurate information is normally edited.
