You mean on the stump, and not on a lost limb? That's even weirder. What would someone get tattooed on a stump? It wouldn't be flat, and the quality and size of the tattoo would be questionable.
I for one have a tattoo on my chest. I hope that doesn't become a stump, 'cause then I'd be in trouble.

I've heard that if you get a tattoo to cover a scar, that somehow it doesn't look right or it doesn't work somehow. I've never seen anyone with a tattoo on a stump before...

My son has a scar on his back from a back surgery. He is going to get a hand tattooed with a little guy flipping the bird using the scar as the middle finger. His surgery was the result of an on the job injury and they screwed him out of his comp.

I don't, but I've seen pictures of women who have had their breasts removed due to cancer have tattoos put over the spot where they once were. It's not exactly the same either but the guy who was on the documentary Murderball had tattoos on his leg(s)? even though he was paralyzed.

I have all of my body intact, but I know a lovely lady who lost both of her breasts to cancer and has a beautiful bird and flower scenery tattooed across her chest. I think it's a brave thing of her to make a beautiful thing out of a tragedy like that.
